Booty Bounce is a Twerk style dance class filled with cardio and choreography. Students will go through a warm-up, exercises for strength, endurance, flexibility and cardio that gives a full body workout with emphasis on the legs and booty. There is focus on twerk and bounce technique to help each move pop while doing it safely. Pieces of choreography is taught at the end of class. Wear comfortable workout clothes, although booty shorts are highly recommended. Other attire that is recommended are knee high socks and leg warmers for sliding. Gym or dance sneakers are required. No bare feet. Other than that, feel free to show off your style and fun flare! Water and a towel are recommended as well. This is open to all levels!
Sweet Dee, The Boss Booty Babe of Burlesque, has been shaking and quaking for over 20 years with experience in a variety of dance styles such as Latin Ballroom, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Go-Go, Pole and of course Burlesque. She's performed and taught with a number of troupes around the world and across the country, even taking home a medal in the dramatic category at the National Pole Championships in 2017. Dee's performed at the Texas, Hawaii, Fierce, Arizona, Ohio and Alaska Burlesque festivals; LA, Houston, Austin and Hawaii salsa congresses; choreographed and been featured in music videos and go go danced for artists Enrique Iglesias and Flo Rida. She created her own signature dance formats Body Beats and Booty Bounce by Dee which she currently teaches locally as well at expos and festivals. She's an award-winning entertainer and co-director of The Pollies, a San Diego based burlesque and entertainment troupe. She is also the director and choreographer for The Lil Sweets, San Diego's Premier Twerk Team. Dance is life for Dee and she loves teaching her wicked booty ways to movers and shakers to help them feel sexy, empowered and to just plain have fun! Her motto is "It's your duty to shake that booty!".
