Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort[2] or common wormwood) is one of several species in the genus Artemisia commonly known as mugwort, although Artemisia vulgaris is the species most often called mugwort. This species is also occasionally known as riverside wormwood,[3] felon herb, chrysanthemum weed, wild wormwood, old Uncle Henry, sailor's tobacco, naughty man, old man or St. John's plant (not to be confused with St John's wort).[4] Mugworts have been used medicinally and as culinary herbs.

For over 15 years, The BeauTease (formerly The Boston Babydolls) have been New England's premiere burlesque troupe. They have won awards from all of the major local newspapers and have twice been named to the top 5 theater troupes in Boston by WGBH's "The A-List".

Betty Blaize, 6' of Fun... is a veteran of the Boston Burlesque scene. She's a founding member of the Boston Babydolls with a background in belly dance, Indian classical dance and martial arts, and... computer science. She's also the web mistress for this site and an ardent artisan, making a substantial number of costumes for herself and the Boston Babydolls.

When Bettysioux puts together a routine she uses all the weapons in her arsenal including tap dance and singing, but when it comes right down to it she always says “glamour is my only weapon!”

Blaze is the fiery redhead from Dallas known as ‘The Red Rose of Texas’! An international award winning performer and costume designer, she’s garnered accolades such as 'Most Classic', E'Biggest Tease' and several crowns including 2014’s 'Evil Queen of Burlesque'. She is the master seamstress behind the dazzling costumes of www.RedRoseRegalia.com which are worn and coveted by performers all over the world. A proud US Army Military Police Veteran, she has long been a fan of pin up history and is now an accomplished model herself with her photographs on the covers and pages of Bachelor Pad, Pin Curl Magazine, Delicious Dolls and more.

Boysinberry Cupcake is short and sweet, and perfectly bite-sized. After years of performing improv comedy, she discovered the art of sparkly things. She bought a few pounds of glitter and took to the stage to take it all off. Through burlesque she blends her love of comedy with a sultry tease, and a dash of weirdness. 

Performing burlesque in the Bay Area and beyond. She has showcased in the Oregon Burlesque Festival, the NY Nedlesque Festival, the Humboldt Burlesque Festival, the Burlesque Extravaganza, The Body Political show, and competed in the CA Regional Burlypicks. She won Most Humorous at the Great Burlesque Expo 2017.

 

Diamond DeVille started performing burlesque back in 2011 with the fabulous ladies of Lady Luck Burlesque out of Portsmouth NH. After moving to Portland ME, she decided to take some time off to pursue other hobbies. She still performs as a solo artist from time to time, for special events and some festivals. In 2017 she competed for the first time at the GBE, and won the category of Most Beautiful.

Now a days you can catch Diamond under the hood of a car as her and her fiance has opened up their own restoration shop. A burlesque performer and a mechanic... I think I sense a new routine up her sleeve...
