Conference Hotel

RESERVE

In response to all of your requests, 2024 will have a designated Conference Hotel.  We are pleased to announce we have negotiated a rate with The Hampton Inn in downtown Salem, equidistant from Old Town Hall (where almost all of our events happen) and Deacon Giles Distillery (site of the opening night party).

The Good News:

  • The same rate for up to 4 guests in a room.  No additional fees for additional people!
  • Hot breakfast is included!
  • Location, location, location! The hotel is 0.2 miles from Old Town Hall and a 9-minute walk from the Salem MBTA station.
  • Valet parking with in-and-out priveleges is available for $22/day
  • An Indoor Pool!
  • Cancel up to 48 hours in advance at no charge

The rates are better than average for Salem in the spring.  We know that doesn't make the hotel "cheap" by any standard, but it's price we pay for being in a popular tourist town.  They will guarantee these rate until March 23, 2024 -- after that they are subject to availability.

Tuesday - Thursday, April 23-25 $189/night
Friday - Saturday, April 26 & 27 $259/night
Sunday, April 28 $189/night

Make a reservation online or call +1 (978) 414-3100 and ask for the "BurlExpo" rate.

Other Hotels in Salem

Downtown Salem is very walkable and there are several hotels within easy walking distance of Old Town Hall, most shops, and all the places that we're going to be using for events.  Old Town Hall is located in the center of a pedestrian mall.  The closest you can drive to the building is about 250 feet and the closest garage is about 2-3 blocks away.

Other Options

If you’re driving or renting a car, things get much cheaper within a 15-20 minute drive of downtown Salem.  Danvers and Peabody both have things like Holiday Inns, Quality Inns, etc. Driving in and parking at the MBTA rail station is less than $8/day.  The rail station is a 10 minute walk from Old Town Hall.

If you’re adventurous and not driving, there’s the Beverly (https://www.booking.com/hotel/us/the-beverly-beverly.html) which is the next town over and is a short walk to the commuter rail (the BurlExpo is a short walk from the commuter rail in Salem).

Last year, a couple of different groups booked large-ish AirBnBs within walking distance.  As soon as you’re putting 3-4 people in a space, they get more reasonable.

There is a Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/BurlExpoInfo) which is set up for people looking for ride shares/room shares, etc.
