Keeping the Tease in Striptease
Learn the stripteasers' secrets for takin' it off and lookin' good! Students will learn to strip out of long gloves and a big shirt and tease while they do it. Shirts and gloves will be available for use in class and there will be some gloves for sale, if you want your very own to take home. No experience necessary! Please note: there is NO nudity in this class.

The Boston Academy of Burlesque Education (or B.A.B.E. for short) is the educational arm of The Boston Babydolls. We offer a wide variety of classes and workshops in many different burlesque skills and burlesque-related arts. When faced with any decision in life, Lucie’s answer always comes based on the question “What will make for the funniest story?” Teaching and performing burlesque seems to be a natural combination her history as a former competitive ballroom dancer and a founding member of Boston University’s first improv comedy troupe. Outside of the studio she’s currently obsessed with rock climbing. And gin. But not at the same time.

The Great Burlesque Exposition supports and funds the American Burlesque Collection, a unique museum that explores the history of The Art of the Tease and profiles its practitioners. The event is three days of spectacular community-building, shows, education, special events,and shopping. The Great Burlesque Exposition is produced by The Professional Burlesque Society, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2007.
