The Vocabulary of Theatre

Many burlesque performers come into this arena without much formal theater training. A shared vocabulary allows clear and effective communication between performer and stage/tech crew, and director/producer and performer. It's much easier to get what you want if everyone speaks the same language!   Lecture

About the Teacher - Scratch

The "kindest man in burlesque", Scratch is lucky enough to be the front-man for BeauTease Burlesque.  A magician with comic timing, Scratch has been host at a wide-variety of presitigious (and not-so prestigious) burlesque events, a guest storyteller at BurlyCon, and has been seen in the audience of many on- and off-Broadway shows.
