Using a combination of body-mind awareness and articulated dance movements, Jacqueline Boxx guides workshop attendees through working with rather than against their bodies in order to become fully present down to the minutiae on stage and beyond.

About the Teacher - Jacqueline Boxx - Miss Disa-Burly-TEASE!
Jacqueline Boxx is the only Tucson burlesque performer who brings her wheelchair, her canes, and her leg braces on stage and makes them both visible and enticing. Her acts are expressive of her experience with chronic pain and limited mobility, and she strives to bring attention through glamour and spectacle to disability. Her extended tagline expresses this intention: Miss Disa-Burly-TEASE. Website

The Great Burlesque Exposition supports and funds the American Burlesque Collection, a unique museum that explores the history of The Art of the Tease and profiles its practitioners. The event is three days of spectacular community-building, shows, education, special events,and shopping. The Great Burlesque Exposition is produced by The Professional Burlesque Society, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2007.
