The Art of Burlesque Storytelling

What is your story? What are you trying to tell your audience and what do you want your audience to take away from your performance? These questions and more will be explored and examined as we unpack how the role of storytelling can be used in developing burlesque routines. In this workshop we will identify how to clarify your story, how to transfer your message into a burlesque routine, and consider how props, music and costuming can play a role in the telling of your story. Additionally, we will examine the role the body plays in telling a story and identify elements to pay attention to when creating your choreography.   Lecture
