Working the Floor
Smooth out your floor moves, and show off your assets! You'll work up a sweat while learning poses and transitions to melt the floor. You'll explore ways to get up and get down to find what works for you and your body. Class structure will provide poses, movements and transitions as a kit of parts rather than teaching choreography. This class is for new performers, or for experienced performers who want more floorwork dance tools in their toolbox. Bring something to protect your knees - leg warmers, long socks you can fold over your knee, or kneepads. Wear pants or shorts you can move in. And you and your knees will have a much better experience in heels! The taller the better - we won't be standing much! I get so excited when I can perform on a raised stage, and you will, too!

About the Teacher - Ruby Spruce
Ruby Spruce is the The Attractive Nuisance, using fluid dance moves, humor and a good jiggle to create burlesque that human eyes cannot resist. Sprucie has been all around the theater and burlesque stage, including award-winning acting, dance captaining, stage-managing, kittening and working the booth. She taught pole dance for six years where she brought out the inner diva in countless Baltimore area women. In 2016 The Great Burlesque Exposition awarded her Most Humorous for her uncannily sexy Carol Burnett act. Sprucie is the newest member of Baltimore's Gilded Lily Burlesque. Her neo-burlesque stuns with evocative imagery and amazing feats of long-limbed hotness.
