This roundtable discussion will allow performers of all sizes and gender identities to gather to discuss issues and challenges that performers face with regard to body image. Topics to be addressed may include: How does your body image affect your performance style? Are there certain moves or costume pieces you’d like to try, but feel limited by body image issues? Have you come up with ways to combat your own body image issues that you would like to share with other performers? Have you found the burlesque community supportive of exploring and overcoming those issues? If not, how do you handle it? If you have an “othered” body (fat, disabled, POC, gender non-conforming, etc.), what has been your experience within your local community and how have you navigated it? Type:  Panel
