Ballet for Burlesque
In this class, students will learn several basic ballet movements and postures. We will then review how these techniques may be beneficial to a burlesque performer, and how they may even be incorporated into a routine. Class will begin with a brief warm-up aimed to loosen the joints and awaken the senses. This class is for those who would like to build body awareness, experiment with different types of movement, and have fun!

About the Teacher - Devora Darling
Devora discovered her love for burlesque after her first performance in 2010 - in the Boston Babydolls' "French Kiss". She became a devoted troupe member soon after, as well as an enthusiastic teacher at The Boston Academy of Burlesque Education (B.A.B.E.). Her favorite elements of burlesque include covering herself (and everyone else) in glitter, incorporating balletic movements, and performing while wearing a mask and/or a toasty warm costume.
