Our illuminating follow-spot operators are responsible for keeping the performers lit when they should be (and in shadow when that's called for). Experience is helpful but not necessary.  A smooth, steady hand and good eyesight are really all the tools you need.

Unlike regular theatre, stage crew are definitely visible during the show, so dress as glamourously, flamboyantly, or as dramatically as you like.  The Speakeasy has a 1920's vibe, so wearing your flapper or gangster best would be appropriate!

As a follow-spot operatior you'll be on your feet for several hours, possibly standing on a stepladder or similar platform.  Please plan your footwear and considering your own physical comfort before volunteering.  Also please note that soms crew positions are required to be at rehearsal as well, so please check your schedule before volunteering.
